Personal Testimony - Mark O'Conner

oconner210We were heading to Raleigh for my birthday with the family to watch the Philadelphia Flyers play the Carolina Hurricanes. In our mini-van, we usually have the kids watch movies and we'll listen to satellite radio, iPod or Pandora radio. My wife, Jennifer brought along your book, God Glasses, Changing Your Vision for Life, which I previously had read to page 34. She told me she was going to catch up to me during the car ride to Raleigh. About 30 minutes into our trip, she caught up to me and asked if I wanted her to read it aloud.

Before that question was asked, we had had a little spat about our schedule for the game and dinner. I told her she could read it if she wanted to...

Well, what happened next was definitely GOD. We became so interested in the book that we couldn't stop reading it. (I was listening, of course, because I was driving.)  This book we thought is so awesome …until we got to the part about family. We both said, “Let's skip that chapter.” We were doing so well, why would we have to dip into that chapter? And, why should we read the chapter about our enemies?

We finished your book the very next day on the way home from Raleigh. When we finished, we both started making a list of friends and family that we could buy this book for as a Christmas present.

We want to say that we were very pleased with the words and stories from your book. GOD is definitely guiding you to touch people's lives through it. In our everyday life, Jennifer and I will ask each other if we are wearing our GOD glasses when we are in certain situations. We chuckle because it keeps us in check. GOD is great.

Great job!
Mark S. O'Connor

Here Is What Others Have To Say About God Glasses - Changing Your Vision For Life

Your book, God Glasses, is making me just want to be a better person and help others.  I am about a third of the way through.  I really feel like when I finish it my life will turn to a better direction.

—Claire Vierling

God Glasses, Changing Your Vision for Life is blessing my life. I have read the chapter "Seeing Yourself as God Sees You" at least 4 times and I don't think I am through yet! Thanks for being so transparent in your writing. I look forward to the rest of the book.

—Robert Huxtable

Though I am not quite finished (I keep going back and reading over certain sections especially the financial one), I love your book! It has proven to be very helpful as we deal with business challenges like so many others.
I loved reading your testimony about where you and Ray have been and where you are now. I honestly believe God has a similar plan for me and that I need to continue to be patient and wait on His timing. I also need to remind myself that God didn't bring me to a cliff to drop me off of it, and He didn’t bring me to the cliff in the first place. He isn't going to let the experience go to waste though.
Last week I was praying and He brought images to my mind of all the other times we have been standing at cliffs edge and how, in each situation, He brought us through. We are His heirs and His children so why wouldn't He want the best for us? I know I do for mine.

Linda, I read your book last week and got a lot out of it. It's a book you read and then put it on your nightstand because you are going to want to read it again and again. It's a refresher course on how to live your life and bring you closer to God.

I am refocused and energized in improving my relationship with God and NOT allowing the devil to take over my thought process when certain social situations occur that in the past would cause me to lash out. Instead, I am focusing on not allowing a negative reaction to be my first instinct. It's a tough challenge but I am getting better at it every day.

Linda, thank you so much for your book God Glasses. I am so infusing the perspective into my life! I love the writing and how your message applies to everyday life. It's so true that how we view something changes everything. Thank you sooooo much. I love the title!
